Do you have a painful condition that prevents you from participating in exercise classes?

If you are the type of person that tries an exercise program and then seems to get injured easily, Dr. Betz can help! Consider booking a consultation with Dr. Sherri Betz, a licensed physical therapist and nationally certified Pilates teacher with over 25 years of experience, who will evaluate your alignment, posture, strength and mobility to find the cause of your pain. She looks at the body as a whole integrated system and finds the underlying cause for your current pain or movement dysfunction. Together, we develop a plan for your recovery and integrate a unique Pilates program customized especially to help you reach your highest potential for a pain-free high quality life!

Do you have low bone density, osteoporosis, balance problems or a recent fracture?
Dr. Betz has more than 20 years of experience specializing in treating osteoporosis to prevent future fractures and falls and can develop a program to help you to rebuild your bone density. You can bring your bone density report for review and we can develop a safe and effective exercise program targeting your main areas of bone loss.

Why should Dr. Sherri Betz be chosen for physical therapy?

COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION
You will receive an extensive evaluation of your posture, muscle strength and flexibility, joint mobility, and balance during your first session lasting at least one hour. Dr. Betz will look for the underlying cause of your problem to target the treatment to the injured tissue (bone, joint, cartilage, muscle or nerve)
TREATMENT SESSIONS
All sessions last one hour with a "hands-on approach." You will receive manual therapy (deep tissue massage, myofascial release, joint mobilization, trigger point release, muscle stretching, and neural mobilization or nerve treatments) as needed followed by specific therapeutic exercise targeting your weaknesses or muscular imbalances. Dr. Betz will provide tactile and verbal feedback during all exercises to be sure that you are performing them correctly. You will not be left alone to perform your exercise program at TheraPilates Clinic. An illustrated handout or video of your exercises with instructions customized for your problem areas will be provided for home reference and practice.
PHYSICAL THERAPIST EDUCATION
Physical Therapists spend 5-6 years in a school of medicine to study and understand the human body in its normal state and its pathological state. Physical therapists must pass a rigorous examination by the state in which they practice in order to safely evaluate and treat medical conditions and injuries. Patients and clients can rest assured that they are in safe hands when they receive skilled and knowledgeable treatment and care by a licensed physical therapist. Dr. Betz has gone further to pursue a clinical doctorate in physical therapy and she is also a ABPTS Board Certified Specialist in Geriatric Physical Therapy.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST LICENSURE
Physical Therapy is practiced by a licensed physical therapist for the evaluation and treatment of any physical or medical condition to restore normal function of the neuromuscular and skeletal system, relieve pain, or prevent disability by use of physical or mechanical means, including therapeutic exercise, mobilization, passive manipulation, therapeutic modalities, and activities or devices for preventative, therapeutic, or medical purposes, and includes Physical Therapy evaluation, treatment planning, instruction or consultative services.

SPECIALIZATION
Dr. Betz specializes in the rehabilitation of Orthopedic, Neurological and Systemic problems affecting the musculoskeletal or nervous system. Posture, Balance, Flexibility and Strength are targeted in every session. Your goals for fitness, sports, functional activities or pain reduction will be integrated into your program.
